  • 1 lb lean ground lamb
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup vegetable or chicken broth

Cooking Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onions until golden brown. Add garlic and ginger paste, cooking for another minute.
  3. Stir in the ground lamb, breaking it apart as it cooks. Once browned, add garam masala, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Mix in the peas and carrots, followed by the broth. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the spiced lamb mixture. Top with the remaining potatoes.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy.
